Spring and Summer are still mingling at the market. Spring greens are in abundance with Spreading Oaks, Morning Glory, and Footehills Farmhouse. The blackberries are starting to arrive. Donald has his mustard greens and Quiet Acres has a nice selection of lettuces and salad greens. Ms. Sue has the turnip greens and hopefully it was dry enough to harvest honey! Bella Vita Mushrooms won't make it to market this week but Spreading Oaks has early green beans, squash, and zucchini along with cabbages and onions. Footehills Farmhouse has red cabbages, herbs, farm bath products, along with several new products including pizza crusts and several varieties of pet goat milk products. A new vendor will be joining us this week! Stop by C & L Farm and tell them welcome to market! They have been growing microgreens along with other veggies and are ready for market. Fitzgerald Fruit Farm will be there with different varieties of peaches.
Jana won't make it to market again this week. She is back home safely but delays made it impossible to bake in time for market. Jana did bring back a 13 year old sourdough starter for new products when she gets back to market next week! This week look for Morning Glory baked goods, fried pies from Dewey, and fresh ground wheat bread from Robilland Farm. Robilland also has your pet cow milk products and several farmers have fresh eggs. Chef Suga will be at market with varieties of pimento cheeses, chicken pot-pies, and black bean hummus. Courtney with Radicle Root will make it to market with her teas, herbal tinctures, and balms.
Morning Glory has your pork, chicken and lamb needs and Ms. Adriana with Timberland Farms has your grass-fed beef. Ms. Sue, Morning Glory, and Dewey have a large selection of jams, jellies, syrups, pickles, and preserved veggies.
Pre-sale tickets for the Farm to You BBQ on June 21st are available now at the green market booth or on our website www.RockmartFarmersMarket.com/upcoming-special-events
