We have studied the weather and expect to NOT get pummeled by weather at market. Tomatoes, watermelons, corn, and okra are all abundant this time of year. Footehills Farmhouse sweet Georgia candy roasters are in harvest and Ms. Sue will have some surprise yellow squash. Fitzgerald Fruit Farm will bring fresh Georgia peaches.
Five Cedars Farm should be back at market this week with tomatoes, peas, peppers, along with preserved vegetables and salsa's. Spreading Oaks watermelons are still in harvest along with several varieties of tomatoes including heirlooms and cherry tomatoes. Also look for Spreading Oak's okra, green beans, field peas, and cucumbers. Donald will be at market with tomatoes and okra. Shelled field peas can be found with Morning Glory Farm and Ms. Sue. Also look for Ms. Sue's eggs, canned goods, honey, and fresh vegetables. Morning Glory Farm will have pork & Chicken, jams & jellies, along with lemonade, baked goods, fresh vegetables, and boiled p-nuts. Chef Suga will bring her pimento cheese and black beans hummus and look for C&L Farms' micro greens and peppers in their new spot next to Donald.
Bella Vita Mushrooms has a great flush of mushrooms for this week and Velmon will be back to market with cantaloupe melons, field corn, sweet corn, peppers, and okra. Also look for Radicle Root Botanicals teas and wellness products and of course Dewey's fried pies, pickles, and jellies.
Robilland Farms will be absent this week but will be back next week. This should be Ms. Adrianna's final week absent from market and will be back next week with grass-fed beef. Jana with That Foreign Chicks Bakery must miss another week but can't wait to get back as soon as possible. Finally, Quiet Acres is still between harvest and will be back to market in a few weeks.
