This evening affair will begin at 5PM with a farm tour hosted by Footehills Farmhouse. Enjoy farm fresh appetizers during the tour before proceeding to downtown Rockmart for a dinner prepared by local cooks using locally grown products for a farm to table meal.
In this class, we’ll use some of our local farmer’s goods to make a savory, a tad sweet, delicious meatloaf and some irresistable muffins!

The Rockmart Farmers Market invites you to our annual Stakeholders meeting (The Arts Theatre, 116 E. Elm Street, Rockmart, GA 30153). This meeting will be a gathering of people like you, who have an interest in our local economy, local agriculture, local food and the impacts they have on local health. A meet and greet with appetizers (6:30 pm) from your local producers will be followed by a presentation (7:00 pm) about the Rockmart Farmers Market and the positive impacts it has had on our community and the goals for the future. A questions and answer session will follow. Come learn about the mission of the Farmers Market and how it helps to "grow our community one seed at a time."

Strawberries will be in abundance beginning the third week in April. Come out to the Thursday market on April 19 for Strawberry Fest a celebration of this sweet red berry. Look for a special cooking demo focused on Angel Food Cake and everyone gets a free strawberry to try with different toppings including chocolate! See you at Market

We need your help!
Volunteers help make the local farmer's market successful so every year two volunteer round-ups are planned to help organize everyone. Volunteers meet up at a local farm starting at 10am for a farm tour. We then drive to the Trailhead Building for a farm fresh brunch and free t-shirts while we discuss specific volunteer shifts for everyone to sign up for. Market volunteer jobs include market greeters, cooking demonstrators and assistants, and, cooking class instructors and assistants.
Support is also needed during several special events including the annual Farm to you BBQ in June, the Farm to Table scheduled for October, and the "Lettuce" Cook for You a monthly fundraiser.
There is no cost to attend the Volunteer Round-Up but we do need an accurate count for the brunch so please register for this event. Click here to Register
